Dr Janet Pilkington

Welcome to Psychology One-to-One. With 25 years of experience, I specialise in supporting individuals struggling with emotional distress, trauma, mental health issues and relationship difficulties. I provide clinical psychology assessment and treatment for adults and am able to draw upon a wealth of experience in order to tailor therapy appropriately for your needs. My services include specific focused psychological interventions and longer-term psychological therapy.  

I offer a professional and personalised service incorporating my values of integrity, compassion and respect. I respond personally to all enquiries and take care to provide an individualised approach to all. I aim to respond to all enquiries within 2 working days and offer in-person appointments at a range of locations.

I work with sensitivity to create an atmosphere in which you will feel heard and where you will start to develop an understanding of what is driving and maintaining your difficulties. This understanding will help to build the foundations for change.

I will be committed to working together with you to help you understand your symptoms and to develop strategies which will help you to live a more fulfilling life. I’ve supported many people through therapy over the years and have helped them to move forward from adversity, trauma and debilitating symptoms leading to improved wellbeing in their daily life.
